We are a pagan brotherhood for gay men based in Manchester, celebrating learning, leadership, love and the masculine aspect of the divine.
Our patron deity is Cernunnos, the Celtic horned god. In him, we honour kindness and courage, care and strength — qualities we seek to cultivate in ourselves and encourage in one another.
Through ritual, mentorship and time together, our Brotherhood offers space to explore your spirituality and deepen your connection with nature.

The 1st Degree, Neophyte, introduces the craft through a group workshop or one-to-one guidance from a Coven Elder.
Deepen your practice
Progress through meditation, energy work, divination, crystals, herbology and other disciplines of the craft.

Develop a specialisation, deepen your knowledge and contribute to the advancement of your chosen field.

Our coven has been active for over a decade. We meet face to face each month for learning and progression, celebrate the eight festivals of the Wheel of the Year, and connect through social events.

Who can apply to join?
We are a pagan brotherhood for gay men. Applicants must be 18 or older and willing and able to travel to Manchester for gatherings.
How do I begin?
Contact the Brotherhood through the application form on our current website. It is the first step towards learning more about joining.

No. Our Brotherhood meets face to face, with regular gatherings in Manchester.

The Brotherhood is based in Manchester and is part of The Covens of the Sacred Spirit, a wider family of distinct covens across Manchester and Chester.

The Brotherhood of Cernunnos is part of The Covens of the Sacred Spirit — a family of covens across Manchester and Chester, united by a shared Tradition, Accord and commitment to learning and growth.
Within that family, the Brotherhood retains its sovereignty and freedom: our own identity, leadership and distinctive path for gay men. Our Elders guide our community locally, while our members have the freedom to explore their personal spirituality within the shared Tradition.
